Mesmorised by this half winter half autumn scenery, shall we call it fifth season of Winterautumn of Washington?

Little Giant Pass changed its look from a blanket of red to beautiful red blue and white yesterday. There were some dicey spots where are quite slippery.

Recommend micro spikes. The River was low but invariably cold, our toes were tingling so much and it felt like hundreds of ants were eating them. 😉

Thank goodness it was not too deep, nor too wide. Once we dried them and started walking, it was soon quite ok.

WTA shows a 10 mile RT with a 4000 elevation gain, but we felt it was more. I wonder if the elevation loss wasn’t calculated. There were a couple of downhills going up. The trail does have long flat areas in the beginning, but the steep areas reminded me of Mailbox.
